OVER VIEW OF ADMISSION

Application for admission to the Courses should be made in the prescribed form with the necessary certificates and fees.

 

 

Admission to the courses will be commenced in the month of June each year. Candidates seeking admission are to note the following:    

 

· Application forms and information brochure is to be obtained from the college   office on payment of prescribed fee.

 

· Filled in application forms are to be submitted before the date notified.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :- ( 3 Year  LL.B. Degree Course (Semester) Admission procedure )

 

Admissions to first year of the 3 year LL.B. course, in all colleges under the jurisdiction of Karnataka State Law University, is strictly based on merit, based on the marks secured by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

To be eligible for admission in the 3 year LL.B. course, the candidate should:
Have graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a University established by an Act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent national institution recognised as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognised as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for three year degree course in law leading to the conferment of LL.B. degree on successful completion of the regular programme conducted under these Regulations.
Have secured marks, which shall not be below 45% (44.5% and above shall be treated as 45%) of total marks in case of general category applicants and 40% of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.

 

 

5 Year B.A.,LL.B. and 5 Year B.B.A.,LL.B. Degree Course (Semester) 

 

 

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

 

A candidate seeking admission to the Course shall have successfully completed the Pre-University Course (10+2 Level) conducted by the Pre-University Examination Board, or such other equivalent course as the University may specify or prescribe, by securing at least 40% marks in the aggregate,(In case of SC/ST- 40% Marks).

Students from Pre-University Boards other than Pre-University Examination Board, Bangalore , seeking admission to the law course should obtain provisional eligibility letter from the Registrar, Karnataka State Law University Hubli by applying directly along with prescribed fees. Admission will be given only on production of the provisional eligibility letter.

 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Students who join this College will have to produce the Transference Certificate from the College last attended by applying through our College in the prescribed form along with I.P.O./D.D. for Rs. 100 immediately after provisional admission is granted.

THE ADMISSION WILL BE PROVISIONAL AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE  KARNATAKA STATE LAW UNIVERSITY, HUBLI THE COLLEGE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF A STUDENT WHO IS ADMITTED PROVISIONALLY IS SUBSEQUENTLY FOUND INELIGIBLE BY THE UNIVERSITY.

 

A student from any other University is eligible to be admitted to the III, V, VII or IX semester at the commencement of the semester in this College provided he/she has passed in all the papers at the lower examinations prescribed for those examinations and also satisfies all other requirements as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

DISCIPLINE RULES

 

ATTENDANCE

 

No student shall be permitted to appear for the end-of-semester examination in a given course unless he/she has, to the satisfaction of the course teacher, fulfilled the course requirements and has put in not less than 75% attendance in the course concerned. 

Provided that a student who has attended not less than 65% of classes in each of the subjects prescribed may be permitted to keep the term for reasons to be recorded in writing and to the satisfaction of the Principal of the College or the Dean of the Faculty as the case may be.

 

Ragging/Eve-teasing

 

Ragging, Eve-teasing and/or aiding and abetting the same in any form, mental or physical, inside or outside the Institute is an offence prohibited by law.  Mental and/or physical harassment of any student(s) is an offence.  Any student(s) found indulging in any such activity shall forthwith be expelled from the institute, without exception.

 

General Rules

 

o Students are required to behave well at all times.

o Loitering around in the college when the classes, damaging the college property and indulging in physical violence with their fellow students are treated as acts of grave indiscipline.

o Those who are found guilty of such misconduct will be dealt with severely including levying of fine.

o Students whose presence in the college is found to be injurious to the maintenance of order and discipline of the college are liable to be suspended or dismissed.

o Students shall keep in touch with notice board periodically for announcements regarding class test/special classes and award of scholarships., etc...

o Smoking, chewing of gutkha, consumption of alcohol in the campus is strictly prohibited.

o Students shall possess identity card always and produce the same on demand.

o Students are strictly prohibited from carrying cellphones to the college.  If anybody is found in possession of cell phone it will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be taken against such a student.

 

Library Rules

 

o No entry without identity card.

o Students may borrow more than 2 books at a time for duration of 8 days.

o The borrowed books should be returned on or before the last date failing which she/he shall be liable to pay fine of Rs. 1 per day

o The books in demand shall be renewed only twice.

o Reference Books shall not be issued home.

o Use of Mobile in the library is prohibited.

o Students shall keep their belongings in the property counter before entering the library.

o The students found disturbing the atmosphere of the library shall be disqualified from the membership of the library and any other penal action as decided by the college authority.
